NIZHEGORODSKAYA METRO STATION OPENS NEAR SREDA RESIDENTIAL QUARTER31/03/2020
On March 27, Nizhegorodskaya metro station on the Nekrasovskaya line opened in Nizhegorodsky district. The new facility will allow residents of the SREDA residential quarter to travel to the city center easily and quickly. The platform is a five-minute walk from the quarter.
In total, the recently opened 2nd section of the Nekrasovskaya metro line includes six new stations: Nizhegorodskaya, Yugo-Vostochnaya, Okskaya, Stakhanovskaya, Aviamotornaya, and Lefortovo.
The first section of the Nekrasovskaya line went into operation in June 2019. Four new stations became available to passengers: Nekrasovka, Lukhmanovskaya, Ulitsa Dmitrievskogo, and Kosino.
The new stations on the Nekrasovskaya line will significantly improve the transport links to Moscow's Eastern and South-Eastern districts, and lighten the load on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. Passengers on the pink line will travel aboard the new Moskva trains. The next stage is to connect the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line to the Nekrasovskaya line from Lefortovo to Elektrozavodskaya.
